Data deletion instructions

You can delete your data yourself, at any time:

1. Sign in at /login.
2. For a single connected site: open the site, go to Settings, and click Delete site. All credentials and content data for that site are purged immediately.
3. For your entire account: email hello@controlee.ai from the address on file with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 7 days.

controlee.ai is operated by businesses that connect their own properties to it. If you believe an operator using controlee.ai has data about you that you want deleted, contact that operatorfirst — they control the data and have to authorize deletion under the law that applies to them (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

If you cannot reach the operator or believe controlee.ai itself holds your data improperly, email hello@controlee.ai with as much detail as you can provide (which site, what data, why you believe it's here) and we will investigate within 7 days.

If you previously connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account to a controlee.ai operator (via OAuth or a System User token) and want that access revoked:

1. Go to facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations.
2. Find the controlee.ai app entry.
3. Click “Remove”. Meta revokes our access immediately.
4. Optional: also email hello@controlee.ai asking us to delete any cached metadata. Without this step, our stored credential record is invalidated but the row remains until the operator deletes it.

• Deleted immediately: all stored credentials (encrypted plaintexts are unrecoverable once the data-encryption key is purged), brand configs, article drafts, social posts, and connected-service metadata.
• Retained for 24 months:audit-log entries that reference the deleted records (timestamps, action names, actor IDs — not credential payloads). These are kept for security incident investigation and then automatically purged. The full schedule is in the Privacy Policy.
